ABOUT.
new-linkedin-logo-white-black-png.png

I’m Natalia (she/her), I'm based in London, UK and I have over ten years of experience working in the theatre industry as a marketer, playwright, theatre maker and producer.

I'm Chilean-Canadian, fluent in English and Spanish.

I like my theatre complex, disruptive and inclusive.

I love cats, karaoke and all things 00's.

I have no guilty pleasures.

As a playwright and theatre maker...

I write and devise plays to make sense of the world. To come to terms with the paradoxes and conflicting emotions of everyday life. I’m curious, nostalgic, and a total nerd about structure and form. Reoccurring themes in my work include Latinx/migrant identity, cycles, memories, trauma, and coming-of-age and female-led narratives.

In 2020 I was a writer-on-attachment at Oxford Playhouse and in 2021 I took part in HighTide Theatre’s School of HighTide. I hold an MFA in Writing for Stage & Broadcast Media from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and a BA (Hons) in Drama from the University of Alberta. I’m also the recipient of a Global Talent Visa, endorsed by Arts Council England.

In the UK, my work has been presented at Oxford Playhouse, Camden People’s Theatre, Theatre 503, The Space, Drayton Arms Theatre, Zoo Venues, Theatre N16, The Bike Shed Theatre, The Acorn Theatre, the Warren at Brighton Fringe and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

In Canada, my work has been presented at Nextfest Festival, Azimuth Theatre, Citadel Theatre, the Edmonton Fringe Festival and the University of Alberta.

As an arts marketer...

I started my career as a theatre maker producing and marketing my own work, before working with artists, producers and venues on their marketing. I worked at Camden People’s Theatre for over four years as their Marketing & Audience Development Manager before going freelance full-time in 2022.

My niche is marketing shows and festivals that are feminist, queer, disability-led, experimental and engage underrepresented communities. I am passionate about working closely with artists and producers to better understand who their audiences are and how best to reach them.

I'm currently working with Tangle Theatre Company (Communications & Marketing Consultant) and Stage June Fourth (marketing for May 35th at Southwark Playhouse)

Past clients include: Jacksons Lane (Interim Marketing Manager), Artsadmin (What Shall We Build Here Festival), Kensington and Chelsea Festival, Trish Wadley Productions (Othello at Riverside Studios), FlawBored (Ed Fringe, Soho Theatre, NYC transfer, UK tour & VAULT: It's a Motherf**king Pleasure), Ephemeral Ensemble (Rewind at New Diorama Theatre), Paula Varjack (The Baby Question autumn 2023 tour), Chalk Line Theatre (Southwark Playhouse: Blanket Ban), Hannah Maxwell (Ed Fringe: Nan, Me & Barbara Pravi), Peyvand Sadeghian (Ed Fringe: DUAL دوگانه‎), Sierra Sevilla (For the Love of Spam at Pleasance Theatre), Tangled Dance Company (The Curious Curiosity Shop 2023 tour), MAYA Productions (Super Chefs tour), Yuxuan Liu (VAULT: Caligula and the Sea), Tangle Theatre Company (Richard the Second tour), Urban Foxes Collective (MOTHERLOAD! tour), Mariana Malena Theatre (Playing Latinx & The Two of Us tour)  and Inky Cloak.
